The client, a leading financial services group, is organised around vertically integrated business clusters and was considering opportunities to improve service delivery and reduce costs through the adoption of specialist shared services
HOW WE ASSISTED:
Developed a concept for shared services. Services would be consolidated and standardised with scale leveraged and specialist skills developed. Shared services would be positioned as ‘businesses within the businesses with a strong service culture supported by inclusive governance. Services would be delivered against agreed service levels using a common charge-out model giving businesses control over what they buy
RESULTS DELIVERED:
The concept informed discussion about the continued development of the group organisational model. The first shared service – a centralised procurement function – has now been established utilizing the concept
