The client wished to understand better the complex interchange model that operated differently for a variety of “card” products. With the purpose of being able to model more accurately the impact on profitability of changing consumer behaviors, market legislation and entry of new market players
HOW WE ASSISTED:
We conducted a detailed financial analysis of the fund flows for different card products to model accurately the as-is environment. The base was the used to overlay scenarios and build offensive and defensive strategies to maximize profitability
The executive team was able to interactively understand the critical value drivers and take informed business decision. The value at stake was in excess of R200m, and the dynamic modeling assisted with informing ongoing management actions as the competitors, customers and legislation evolved.
